Harvester Poachers Cottage Stoke

Food was good, simple but tasty. We had two of the rotisserie chickens for lunch, which were cooked great. Great portion, took quite a bit home with us for dinner. Isla was lovely, great service :)

Absolutely love the new menu. Lovely to see a lot of new main meals on there. The salad bar as always was great. Ordered the wing ‘n’ wave combo. This was a half rotisserie chicken which as always a firm favourite of mine, it was juicy and delicious. An 8oz rump steak .. taste was lovely however there was a fair amount of gristle in it. 3 tempura king prawns… which in all honesty were really disappointing, no prawn whatsoever in the batter. The meal did not need the prawns and Harvester would be better off removing them from the menu completely. The only winner there is the supplier for being able to sell them to a large pub chain and make some money. Value for money as always. We had a lovely server very warm , friendly and welcoming Harriet, she was able to answer any questions we had and provided a first class speedy service.

Went for tea with my mum and I was served by Cassie, we both said how much better the experience was with a good server! We both had very tasty food but could’ve been a bit warmer! Thank you for a loving dining expericne

Overall a nice dinner. Some sad points in that good items had sold out. But it’s a busy period so I understand. Very disappointed that the Salmon got served with no sauce, no explanation in advance. Then to compound this the attitude was average at best when challenging the wait staff. But they had probably heard it all before that day. Especially if the kitchen had been stitching them up Before it becomes too obvious take a look at some of the bench seating, it’s in poor repair. Not able to clean it anymore which isn’t a good picture for the brand. We had a nice time in the end, but a shame for certain family members to miss out. Thanks & have a good Christmas break.

We visited for dinner Sunday evening, having visited the Monkey Forest and were staying at the premier inn. Usual good service, same menu you find in all harvesters, so plenty to choose from, quick service, salad bar available, tasty food. No issues.

All 3 staff we dealt with were great. Shout out to Glizz! Food was fab. We will be back :)
